Had a great class in Dubai at the Microsoft office here. This was the first time I was able to run the class completely from VMs running on the DBC appliance. It worked well but a faster internet connection would be nice.
Now, a couple days to enjoy Dubai before heading to India to teach DBC and Fast Track 3.0….
It’s sort of old news by now, but I’ve been busy
SQL Server 2012 RTM’d within the last couple weeks, but the bits went live on the web this week. If you have a TechNet subscription, go download the Developer Edition at http://technet.microsoft.com and install it. I’ve got it running side by side with SQL Server 2008 R2 on my desktop, standalone on my laptop, and using Windows 8 Server with it on a Virtual Machine. So far all running without any problems.
Check out the HP website on the DBC appliance as well. Great information up there. http://h71028.www7.hp.com/enterprise/us/en/partners/microsoft-database-consolidation-solution.html
Of course, if you have questions feel free to forward them to me – firstname.lastname@example.org….
